The Networking - We invite you to take a couple of hours out of your day to connect with others in the industry to discuss high level topics of real importance, develop new relationships and gain critical information. Attending this AuSAE event is also a great opportunity to connect with leaders from associations, charities and other not-for-profits. You will get the opportunity to discuss current workplace challenges and other issues of importance.

Topic - Membership Diversity - What is the Gender Diversity debate all about?
Are men too scared to engage on the subject that is so often regarded by them as a hot potato. Or is it a case of "we just don't get it".
What are the obstacles for men and what makes women feel excluded in a male dominated environment. What’s stopping our women leaders from reaching the
top?

Speaker - Julie Raine - Immediate Response

Julie  is a Civil Engineer, Chartered through Highways and Transportation and is a Fellow of Engineering New Zealand. She has been in the engineering industry for 30 years.

Julie is recognised as:

  • One of New Zealand's top 50 women of achievement and:
  • Westpac women of Influence finalist for Diversity.

Julie has learned the lessons that have allowed her to compete in a real world. She has touched the hearts and minds of countless professionals, engineers and women through her empowering workshops and presentations on working in a male dominated environment.

Julie speaks on Diversity, Confidence, Networking, Goal Setting, Resilience and Leadership, all based on the skills she has had to master on her journey.
