The Government has released for public consultation a paper on draft governance standards for charities registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and draft regulations on the new ACNC financial reporting framework.  A copy of the media release issued jointly by the Assistant Treasurer and the Minister for Social Inclusion can be accessed here. The governance consultation paper and proposed financial reporting regulations are available at Treasury website, together with information on how to make a submission. Consultation will remain open until 15 February 2013.
