On behalf of the Australasian Society of Association Executives (AuSAE), I am delighted to invite you to our first ever virtual event experience AuSAE Live: Celebrating Associations.

AuSAE Live is a broadcast style, virtual event delivered across 2 days, December 1 and 2 2020, and will include presentations, educational content, a virtual exhibition and delegate networking opportunities.

We are thrilled to announce AuSAE Live confirmed keynote speakers; Matt Jones, Co-Founder, Four Pillars Gin, Amanda Stevens, Consumer Futurist and Sam Johnson, Founder, Student Volunteer Army. Over two days gain exclusive access to invaluable thought leadership, tools and presentations relevant for association leaders at any stage of your career.

Our goal for this event is to celebrate the amazing work Associations have achieved in 2020 as well as providing the critical content you need now to ensure the success and sustainability of your association into the future. Andrew Klein, Conference MC/ Host

Andrew Klein is one of Australia’s most engaged and engaging Professional Conference & Event MCs. He is also one of this country’s foremost speakers and trainers on Presentation Skills and Pitching for Business.​

A former corporate lawyer, Andrew quit the law in the late 90’s before starting up his own business as a corporate trainer and speaker.​

As an MC, Andrew brings his casual yet corporate style to proceedings and is well-known on the conference circuit for his revealing speaker introductions, his improvisational skills and ability to adapt to different audiences.​

Andrew also runs educational & interactive keynotes and workshops on Presentation Skills and Pitching Skills. ​

Andrew’s hobbies include coaching basketball, shaving his head, eating hot chips, watching ‘Survivor’, walking his dog Pebbles and trying to convince his wife and 3 kids that he has a real job.

Amanda Stevens, Consumer Futurist

Amanda Stevens is a renowned thought leader on the customer experience. She combines current consumer insights with fascinating research into buying behaviour, delivering organisations and business owners powerful strategies for connecting with their customers.

Amanda has a double degree in consumer psychology and marketing. She has consulted to some of the country’s biggest brands, including Lend Lease, Microsoft, Procter and Gamble and even the Australian Liberal Party.

Recognised as one of the most entertaining speakers on the circuit, Amanda has presented at over 800 conferences in 14 countries. She combines practical strategies with a mesmerizing storytelling style, leaving audiences with memorable messages and actionable insights.

Amanda is a former Young Australian of the Year (Career Achievement, NSW) and in 2003 was awarded the prestigious Centenary Medal by the Governor General for Business Innovation. Amanda is a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) and in 2018 was awarded Keynote Speaker of the Year by the Professional Speakers Association of Australia.

Sam Johnson, Founder, Student Volunteer Army

Sam Johnson is one of New Zealand’s most inspiring young citizens. His relentless energy to mobilize people around ideas has a magic ability in building movements that matter! Farm boy turned social entrepreneur, Sam’s work is on the leading edge of using the collective to overcome the bureaucratic - shifting our belief system about what is possible when teams, organizations and communities authentically connect and build empathy.

Sam became a household name in New Zealand when he started what has become New Zealand’s largest volunteer movement - the internationally acclaimed Student Volunteer Army. What started as a small social media page after the devastating Christchurch earthquakes has been mirrored across the globe as a movement for impact, not an organization for ego.

Sam developed a social enterprise in 2016 to connect generations and end social isolation in New Zealand. His venture joined forces with Mycare in 2017, reforming the home care sector through an AirBnB model of community support. Sam is now Head of Community Innovation at Mycare and helps recreate mutually beneficial models of community where they utilize Mycare's powerful technology to help realize ideas.

Matt Jones, Co-Founder, Four Pillars Gin

Matt Jones is one of Australia’s leading strategists and storytellers when it comes to the intersections of brand, business, leadership, experience, culture, technology, human behaviour and storytelling.

Matt has an eclectic background, combining economics, politics, brand experience and gin. As one of three co-founders, and the brand brains behind Four Pillars, Matt Jones connects the dots between brand and purpose theory and gritty business and delivery reality.

His storytelling is insightful, engaging, energising and (perhaps most important) highly relatable to all kinds of businesses.

Matt is obsessed with sport, food, photography, wine, film, travel, politics, fiction, architecture, technology, design, hotels, ideas, experiences, cinema, contemporary art, human behaviour, ideas and (yes) gin.

He works in, speaks about, and connects the dots, between all of the above areas and is a former panelist on The Gruen Transfer.
