Organisation Purpose
The purpose of the Australian Medical Council Limited (AMC) is to ensure the standards of education, training and assessment of the medical profession and to promote and protect the health of the Australian community.

Position Purpose
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be a member of the AMC Senior Executive Group, which is responsible for leading strategic and best-practice initiatives across the organisation.

You will be responsible for the Company Secretary responsibilities including advising the AMC’s Directors on best practice corporate governance requirements and practices, legal obligations, reporting and disclosure and in carrying out their fiduciary duties.

You will also be responsible for managing processes to ensure AMC resources are managed efficiently and effectively through operational oversight of Corporate Services functions including Finance, Reporting, Cost modelling, Audit, Property, Investments, Payroll, Risk, Insurance, Travel and Administrative Services.

This position will assist in advancing the change agenda of the organisation and will play a key role in collaborating with all levels of management in the implementation and ongoing review of the AMC Strategic Plan.

This role is offered as a full-time position on an initial five-year contract.
