David Jenkins, GAICD EMBA PGCE
President | David Jenkins leads the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) as Chief Executive Officer and is widely regarded as a global authority on infrastructure and asset management. He has delivered keynote addresses at the Sydney Morning Herald Infrastructure Summit and premier events hosted by the Institute of Asset Management (UK), the Institute of Municipal Engineering of South Africa, and the Government Finance Officers Association (USA). His commentary is frequently featured in the region’s most influential industry publications. David has studied at Stanford University, holds an Executive MBA from the University of Auckland, postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford, and an undergraduate degree from the University of London. He also serves on the board of the International Federation of Municipal Engineering (IFME) and the Australasian Society of Association Executives. As host of IPWEA’s popular Infrastructure Matters podcast, David engages international thought leaders on water, transport, and sustainable asset management—bringing fresh perspectives and practical solutions to professionals around the world. |
Nick Pilavidis, CAE FICM CCE
Vice President | Nick is the CEO of the Australian Institute of Credit Management (AICM), representing over 2,800 credit professionals who are responsible for managing credit risk in all sectors and ensuring cash flow. Since 2014, Nick has led the organization to restore its financial position, record membership levels and increase member engagement. Prior to this role he held various senior roles as a credit professional in Australia and the UK. He was the AICM’s Australian Young Credit Professional of the Year in 2005 and was acknowledged as a Fellow of the AICM for his service as a volunteer on the NSW Council and National Board. He is also a Certified Credit Executive, a Fellow of CPA Australia, a member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) Business Leaders Council and a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He represents AICM members and the credit profession as a member of several other government and industry forums and leads AICM’s advocacy with federal government on matters related to cash flow and credit management. |
Matthew Connor, CAE
Director | Matt has more than a decade of senior leadership experience across both professional and industry associations, including the Australian Water Association, Australian Dental Association and the Motor Traders’ Association of NSW. His career has spanned all core association functions, with a consistent focus on strengthening member value, embedding effective governance practices, and driving digital transformation. He is currently Head of Communications & Corporate Services at the Australian Water Association, where he leads strategy and operations across finance, IT, marketing and communications. As Executive Sponsor of the Governance & Audit Subcommittee, he works closely with the CEO and Board to ensure strong governance, effective corporate services, and a positive member and employee experience. A Certified Association Executive (CAE) and long-standing AuSAE member, he has spoken at AuSAE events, mentored emerging leaders, and championed the CAE credential as a recognised career pathway for association professionals. He brings to the Board a strong sector network, practical governance expertise, and a passion for the role associations play in building community and impact. |

Dr Kate More, PHD Director | Kate More is an Association CEO, Director and leader grounded in a deep commitment to strengthening the impact, sustainability, and relevance of the association sector during a period of significant challenge and change. Throughout her career, she has worked at the intersection of leadership, strategy, and community impact, with a focus on enabling executives, teams, organisations and sectors to thrive in complex and evolving environments. Passionate about supporting associations’ resilience, relevance and future: embracing innovation while preserving the trust and purpose that underpin member-based organisations, Kate has held multiple senior executive roles in four member-based associations over an 18-year period. Serving on the Board of AuSAE presents an opportunity for Kate to help AuSAE play a more influential role as the association sector navigates accelerating change, increasing complexity and evolving member expectations, leveraging her skills in governance, advocacy, member value, and professional training and accreditation to elevate professional standards, and to ensure members are equipped to navigate change with confidence. |
Michelle Rose, CAE
Director | Michelle is the Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Rotational Moulders Australasia (ARMA), bringing two decades of association sector experience to her leadership of an internationally connected not-for-profit supporting the rotational moulding industry across Australia, New Zealand and the broader Asia-Pacific region. A Certified Association Executive (CAE) and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Company Directors Course, Michelle brings extensive experience across association management, governance, strategic planning, financial stewardship, member engagement, advocacy and organisational transformation. She has a strong track record of partnering with boards on strategy, risk oversight, reporting and long-term planning, and is known for practical leadership that translates complexity into clear, actionable outcomes. Her career has taken her from factory floors and member sites to international conferences and study tours, with experience building partnerships across Asia, Africa, Europe and Oceania. She works regularly with international boards, overseas associations and global industry leadership groups on cross-border strategic initiatives. Michelle is committed to the association sector and to leadership that is grounded, collaborative and focused on outcomes that genuinely serve members and the communities associations exist to support. |
