The independent Accreditation Committee has published new principles to help accreditation authorities apply outcome-based approaches across the National Scheme.
The Principles for the use of outcome-based approaches to accreditation provide practical guidance and examples of how these approaches are being used across health practitioner education. The principles reflect contemporary practices in accreditation and education, supporting continuous improvement in the accreditation of health practitioner education programs.
For association professionals involved in professional education, accreditation or standards development, the guidance offers a useful reference for understanding how outcome-based approaches can support quality and continuous improvement.
The document is available in the Publications section of the committee’s webpage.
