Workshop (Canberra) - Speaking with Impact
This is a day that will change your life. It’s a big statement, but the thought of public speaking can create intense fear and mental anguish. Some people even have cringe-worthy memories of public speaking gone wrong. Cam Sullings can change all that.
Canberra Business Chamber, the voice of business in Canberra, and AuSAE, the home of association professionals, have partnered to present a public speaking training session that’s specially developed for association and NFP executives. It will give you the confidence to speak to the media, and at conferences, seminars, member events and more.
This is a small group coaching session that will include practical tasks, exercises and guidance to help you:
- Manage nervousness and speaking anxiety
- Remove shallow breathing before you begin your presentation
- Use of voice and body language
- Engage the audience from your first words
- Structure your content, including the use of storytelling
- Learn best practice microphone techniques and advice on content and use of AV
- Know what to do when you arrive at your speaking venue
This public speaking training session is not about sitting back and taking notes. It’s interactive, practical and fun. Participants are encouraged to ask as many questions as possible, and to learn from Cam’'s three decades of presenting experience.
