Australian Government Support The Government is acting decisively in the national interest to support households and businesses and address the significant economic consequences of the Coronavirus. Monday 30 March 2020, a historic wage subsidy to the value of $130 billion, impacting around 6 million workers. The payment will ensure eligible employers (including Associations and not-for-profits) and employees stay connected while some businesses move into hibernation.
