The Networking

We invite you to take a couple of hours out of your day to connect with others in the industry to discuss high level topics of real importance, develop new relationships and gain critical information. This is a rare opportunity to network with other CEOs and senior management professionals from charities, associations and other non-profit organisations. Ample opportunity will be given for you to discuss issues and network with others.

The Topic

John Murray will share Royal Australian Air Force Association of WA's (RAAFAWA) powerful transformation story with significant challenges including an internal restructure, collapsing IT system, a disenchanted member community and ultimately, a broken service model that required urgent attention.

Attend this event to hear how RAAFAWA undertook a major shift in direction over the past two years. A successful transformation they attribute to realigning focus to RAAFAWA’s mission that was established in 1929.

The Speaker

John Murray, CEO at Royal Australian Air Force Association (WA Division) Inc

John took up the role of CEO with the RAAF Association (WA Division) in May 2013 and comes with extensive experience in health, aged care and retirement living with senior management experience spanning 25 years. He commenced his career as a Registered Nurse specialising in mental health and his skills in leadership and management are supported by a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Business Leadership.

For the past nine years, John has been the CEO of MYVISTA at an ethnic aged care provider in Balcatta where he developed a retirement village, residential care facilities and community care services, and is also currently a Director on the Board of Aged and Community Services WA (ACSWA) and Chairperson of the Housing and Retirement Living Committee of ACSWA.
