Caravan Industry Association of Australia has a diverse stakeholder base and runs some genuinely amazing activities on behalf of the Australian caravanning and camping industry. We need someone sharp, relentless and a little bit obsessed with Government Relations to round out our small but dedicated team.

The industry. An economic powerhouse. A social connector. Right now, an industry going through serious disruption and maturation, and it needs a strong, consistent voice in Government to match. That voice could be you.

The role. Working closely with our CEO, the management team and two of our dedicated state caravanning associations, you will be the consistent, articulate face of Government Relations for a purpose driven organisation. You will advance the profile and interests of the industry at a Federal level, and support advocacy at a Queensland state level. You can expect travel to Canberra during sitting weeks.

Who we need.  Someone who has:

• high levels of self-motivation
• skills at juggling a diverse range of projects at once, with limited instruction and tight deadlines
• excellent communication skills (including potentially in front of media)
• sharp time management
• exceptional attention to detail
• a love for the political landscape
• initiative, and who has the relationship skills and determination to get diverse projects in front of Government and land them.

This is anticipated to be a full time role, based in our Albion office, close to public transport, with limited off street parking available.

About Us
Caravan Industry Association of Australia is the peak national body for the Australian caravanning and camping industry who works closely with our state association members and industry businesses. We undertake a large range of exciting activities on behalf of the sector designed to improve quality and standards, increase awareness for the sector and continue to grow one of Australia's manufacturing and tourism success stories.

The organisation operates under four main operational pillars:

• Marketing (to consumers, media and industry through a range of mediums)
• Research and Insights (collecting and collating data on the industry across all states)
• Lobbying & Advocacy (through strong advocacy and lobbying activities at a Federal level)
• Compliance & Accreditation (through accreditation and compliance programs across the sector)

We are a small and dynamic team, passionate about the development of the Australian caravanning and camping sector and spread across two offices (one in Brisbane and one in Melbourne).
