Position Overview
The Australasian Sonographers Association (ASA) is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team on a short-term (expected to be 10 weeks), part-time basis. This role is pivotal to the successful delivery and management of our marketing and communications initiatives. In this parental leave opportunity, you will have a crucial role in advancing the Association's mission to support sonography professional excellence across Australasia.

Working collaboratively with internal teams, the role will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of marketing and communications plans. The successful candidate will create and publish content for social channels, our website, and through edms. The successful candidate will coordinate assigned components of projects to ensure progress against agreed timelines.

Key Result areas

• Develop and implement marketing and communications actions plans
• Produce and publish content for social channels, website and newsletters
• Create collateral and assets to support events, partnerships and other activities
• Assist in developing project timelines and monitor progress against key project milestones
• Track and report on progress against deliverables
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation
• Work effectively with internal ASA teams to ensure appropriate, consistent and timely marketing and communications support
• Contribute to a collaborative working environment and share knowledge across team.
• Support the General Manager, Marketing and Communications as require
• Undertake additional duties as required, consistent with the scope of the role

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:

• A tertiary degree in marketing or communications
• Minimum 5 years' experience in marketing and communications
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills for web and other digital touchpoints
• Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating communications plans and marketing activities
• Experience developing social media strategy and running social media campaigns
• Experience in email marketing including design, managing subscriber lists, A/B testing and journeys
• Experience evaluating data and analytics to provide feedback on website visitation, engagement and other metrics
• Knowledge and experience using Canva, MS Suite as well as experience and understanding of web management i.e. CMS and CRMs
• Strong organisational skills with strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise and control workload
• A team player who is self-motivated with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
