AuSAE and the Adelaide Convention Centre is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2022 Future Leader Scholarship program.

The 2022 Future Leaders program cultivates leadership qualities across the association sector. It supports emerging leaders and creates a network of committed individuals ready to take their organisation and the sector to the next level and contribute to the future success of the Association sector.

It is our priviledge to recognise and reward five dynamic and skilled members of the association community have joined the sector's professional and personal development program, Future Leaders. The 2022 Future Leaders Scholarship program recipients are:

Cassandra De Conno
Operations Manager 
- SMSF Association (SA)

Cassandra has extensive experience in the financial services industry. She started her career as an accountant within a mid-tier firm before shifting into the Associations sector in marketing. She has been with the SMSF Association since 2016 working her way from Marketing & Communications Coordinator to Operations Manager in early 2022. Her expertise in communications as well as extensive background knowledge of the Association has allowed for a smooth transition in her new role taking on different portfolios including Finance, IT, HR and Operations.

Cassandra holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Communications from the University of South Australia.


Samuel French
National Membership Development Officer - Australian Institute of Architects (VIC)

Sam has been working in associations for almost three years in industries spanning across Health, Architecture and Aviation. His commitment to membership growth and improving the membership experience has allowed him to connect and work with other professionals to encourage innovation in the association industry.

I have been working in associations for almost three years in industries spanning across Health, Architecture and Aviation. My commitment to membership growth and improving the membership experience has allowed me to connect and work with other professionals to encourage innovation in the association industry.


Jessica Landers
Deputy CEO and Manager of Accreditation and Certification - Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (VIC)

Jessica began her Associations career in 2019, as Member Services Coordinator at the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA).

Her demonstrated passion for the sector has seen her move quickly into positions of leadership and management.

She is currently the Deputy CEO and Manager of Accreditation and Certification at AOPA.

Louise Reid
Communications and Marketing Manager - Cooperative Research Australia (ACT)

Louise is working at Cooperative Research Australia as their Marketing Communications Manager. Her professional experience spans across a variety of sectors including shipping and logistics, pharmaceutical, healthcare, establishing, running and selling two successful businesses and now research and innovation.

She has a keen interest in business strategy and growth and likes to work with authentic leaders to inspire teams to achieve goals and succeed together.


Tracey Rudd
General Manager - Australian Rheumatology Association (NSW)

Tracey Rudd is the General Manager and Company Secretary for the Australian Rheumatology Association (ARA).

She graduated from Sydney University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Pharmacy and has a Certificate in Marketing and Management from Macquarie University.

Tracey has had various roles in pharmacy including, community pharmacy, the pharmaceutical industry, National Prescribing Service and running her own medication review business. This is her first executive role in an Association.
