Declan Kelly is the Head of Development at the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA).

He has over 10 years of experience in the community and commercial media and has worked at stations such as SEN, ARN, JOY, 2XX, and SYN in various revenue, strategy, and growth roles.

A strong believer in the power of community media, Declan works with over 450 community radio stations across the country to embed community media as the heart of every community.


The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) is the peak body and the national representative organisation for community radio and television stations in Australia. 

The CBAA champions community broadcasting by building stations' capability & creating a healthy environment for the sector to thrive.

Thomas Dunsmore, CAE
Chief Executive Officer, Torres Strait Kaziw Meta

Thomas Dunsmore is the CEO of Torres Strait Kaziw Meta, a not-for-profit charity operating an independent boarding facility on Thursday Island. Since starting as CEO in 2023, he has overcome significant funding challenges by adopting a partnership-focused approach. Within twelve months, this strategy has generated over $6,000,000 in alternative revenue through corporate sponsorships, government funds, philanthropic funds, grants, in-kind donations, and strategic partnerships, creating rewarding opportunities for Kaziw Meta. A key focus area for Tom is developing and exploring alternative revenue generation for NFPs.


Torres Strait Kaziw Meta is a not-for-profit, independent boarding facility on Thursday Island. We provide a unique 'on-country' experience, nurturing Torres Strait Islander children in Years 7-12 to be proud and confident, aiming to be nationally recognised for cultivating culturally-connected future leaders.
