Working Arrangements
This is a part-time, 4 days a week, hybrid position where some of your days are spent amongst a small friendly team in our Camberwell office and some days you can work from home. On the days you are at the office, you will enjoy modern amenities and FREE secure undercover parking with easy access to public transport. When you work from home you will have quality equipment and services to support you.

About the role
You will contribute to generating non-member revenues through promoting the APA for partnership alignments (Conference and non-conference), attracting advertising (print and digital) revenue and other business development commercial activities that will broaden the Association’s revenue reach and ease upward pressure on membership fees.

Key responsibilities

  • To meet sales advertising revenue targets within the three current print publications. Involvement within the supporting sales strategy (including database coordination) for these publications with Manager, Corporate Partnerships and Business Development.
  • Development of new advertising business, invoicing process and administrative requirements for the publications team (including artwork collation/labelling)
  • Coordinate the digital advertising sales across APAs digital presence – including two web sites – Australian.physio and Choose.Physio and the APAs online member engagement platform - with the main responsibility being the sourcing of advertising partners, artwork requirements, booking schedule and reporting. Uploading of advertising artwork into the digital ad platform and provision of reporting to the advertisers as requested
  • Responsibility for the updating of sales collateral (media kits), booking forms and corporate overview documents as needed and directed
  • Coordination and delivery of benefits for all APA partnerships (Corporate, Endorsed and Recommended) which incorporates: Booking benefit requirements into schedules,
  • artwork/logo follow up, meeting’s, monitoring and chasing up outstanding debtors, contract register updates and upselling into other APA products
  • Sourcing of new partners in conjunction with the Manager, Corporate Partnerships and Business Development
  • Assistance in selling sponsorship for APA Conferences and direct involvement in the development of relevant prospectus
  • Selling of exhibition booths for APA Conferences and complete control of event CRM in relation to sponsors and exhibitors. Sourcing of prizes to be utilised for Conference purposes
  • Attendance and delivery of benefits and coordination of logistics for exhibitors at APA Conferences
  • Updating and maintenance of partners and advertisers within CRM system
  • Administration of Classifieds4physios platform – responding to enquiries, approving listings and working with tech support with any operational requirements
  • Project coordinating events where APA is involved as a partner in alignment with APA marketing strategies
  • State Branch support – coordination of prizes for state based events aligned with partners
  • Internal coordination of staff benefits program- communications, uploading content into intranet
  • Some interstate travel is required.

About you and selection criteria

  • Proven track record in meeting revenue and sales targets and delivering on budgets
  • Research and analytical skills in order to be able to use feedback and market information to set income and sales targets
  • Energy and passion for sales activities and a commitment to quality service delivery
  • Good communication skills for representing the Association, a flare for networking and developing contacts, promoting the APA offer, coordinating agreement deliverables and building relationships
  • Good organisational skills, ability to adhere to required timelines in an efficient manner
  • Experience in a membership organisation would be an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, sales or account managing.
