        Damian Smith

        Damien Smith AM is a highly experienced Board director and a recognised thought leader in organisational stewardship, NFP salary benchmarking, and organisational health across both commercial and Not-for-Profit sectors. With over three decades of experience, Damien brings a rare combination of strategic insight and practical expertise, shaped by his work on and with Boards across Australia.

        As the founder of Enterprise Care, Damien leads with a deep understanding of how people, structure, and purpose intersect to drive organisational success. His commitment to unlocking performance through tailored solutions is reflected in Enterprise Care’s reputation for excellence.

        Damien is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the Governance Institute of Australia (GIA). He continues to work closely with Boards, CEOs, and executive teams to navigate complexity, build capability, and align strategy with meaningful outcomes—making him a trusted voice in shaping contemporary leadership and remuneration practices.

        Rachel Portelli

        Rachel holds postgraduate qualifications in Health Services Management and Applied Corporate Governance. As a graduate and Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia (FGIA), the UK Chartered Governance Institute (FCG) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), Rachel has extensive experience in corporate governance.

        Before launching Intensive Group in 2009, Rachel served as the inaugural General Manager of the Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards Board (APESB), an independent national body that sets the code of ethics and professional standards for accounting professionals.

        Rachel has held executive roles at the Australasian Council of Auditors General, the Clean Energy Investor Group and the Australian and New Zealand Podiatry Accreditation Council.

        Currently, Rachel provides outsourced Company Secretarial and Corporate Governance support to not-for-profit organisations, particularly membership associations.
